Kalashnikov attack on passenger bus in Malisheva: Prosecution releases details

The Basic Prosecution of Gjakova has announced that the suspect in the Kalashnikov attack on a passenger bus in the village of Pagarusha, Malisheva, has been detained for 48 hours. The arrested individual, identified as S.M., is suspected of the criminal offences of "Aggravated Attempted Murder" and "Unauthorised Ownership, Control or Possession of Weapons" under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo. The Prosecution stated that a request for pre-trial detention will be filed. "The State Prosecutor, within the legal timeframe, will submit to the competent court a request for the imposition of pre-trial detention against the suspect. The State Prosecutor, in close cooperation with the Kosovo Police, is taking all necessary investigative actions and gathering relevant evidence in connection with this case," the statement reads.
