Begaj: Kosovo's freedom was won through the KLA's struggle and the resolve of our allies

Albanian President Bajram Begaj has congratulated Kosovo on the 27th anniversary of its liberation.

He expressed gratitude to the fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army, to the sacrifice of those who gave their lives, and to all who contributed to Kosovo's freedom.

"Kosovo's freedom was won through the sublime sacrifice of thousands of men and women, the heroic struggle of the Kosovo Liberation Army, and the resolve of our strategic allies. Thank you to NATO for standing on the side of justice, freedom and human dignity at one of the most decisive moments in our nation's history! Eternal glory to the martyrs of freedom!" Begaj wrote on Facebook.
